Delinda is a dedicated individual who has embarked on a transformative journey towards holistic well-being before and after retiring from her corporate career. During her endeavor she discovered her passion for yoga and its profound impact on the mind, spirit, and body. Delinda's commitment to her personal growth and the pursuit of wellness led her to obtain several certifications, including RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher), Holistic Health Coach, Reiki Master, and Sound Practitioner training.
With Delnda's empathetic nature and deep commitment to helping others, she strives to create positive change in the lives of those she encounters. She believes in the power of yoga as a tool for self-discovery, self-care, and personal growth.
Jalynn
Jalynn was born a Michigander. She is a mother to two amazing children. Jalynn has been teaching yoga and fitness for the last five years. per Jalynn, "The environment has played an intricate part in her mental health". Jalynn is a hispanic and native american woman whose passion is to guide others in natural healing and wellness.Jalynn's teachings are very primal and will help you connect back to your roots, leaving you buzzing with gratitude.
Glen
Glen will attest that yoga change can your life for the better. Whether through physical asana or diving deep into the philosophical and spiritual elements, its effects can be profound. He found this change in his life in 2016 and shortly thereafter completed his first teacher training with Holistic Yoga School in Colorado. He has maintained his practice since then, and he recently completed his 300-hour training certification through the same school. After teaching various subjects at the college level for a handful of years, he is happy to be back here in our community, teaching what he loves and believes in most.
Kerry
Kerry is a newly certified Yoga Teacher with over 20 years of yoga practice. She believes yoga is for everyone, regardless of sex, gender, or age. Passionate about modifying poses to meet her students' needs, Kerry incorporates anatomy and words of wisdom in her classes. A lover of nature, reading, and cooking, Kerry has a background as a Veterinary Technician and Animal Control Officer. She shares her home with 4 rescue cats and dreams of establishing her own rescue farm one day. As a devoted mom to her 2.5 year old son, Kerry delights in exploring the world through his eyes alongside her husband. At 43, she is grounded in her spirituality and holds certifications in Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Sculpt from Toledo Yoga.
Brittany
Get ready to experience her passion for movement and wellness in her Pilates classes! When she's not at the studio, Brittany is also a devoted mom of 2, a loving wife, and a true animal lover, especially when it comes to her horse Breezy. Her love for cooking is unmatched, and her background as a gymnast and cheerleader shines through in her teaching. With 8 years of coaching experience and her warm, welcoming presence as the front desk girl at Monroe, she truly brings so much to our Monroe Yoga Family. You won't want to miss her Pilates classes!
Lea
Lea is not just your average critical care transport nurse, she's a yoga enthusiast, farm-life lover, and devoted grandma! Here are some fun facts about her: On her small farm, you'll find horses, goats, chickens, and a thriving garden. She's a true nature lover, practicing "nature bathing" daily, no matter the weather! Lea began her yoga journey as a way to navigate the challenges of raising teenagers, and she fell in love with it! She's actively involved in her 2 1/2-year-old granddaughter's life, promoting a holistic approach to mobility and longevity. Her mornings start with the 5:30 AM yoga class, surrounded by fellow yogis who kick start their day with mindful movement - it's AMAZING! Community is everything to Lea, and Monroe Yoga has provided her with a strong, like-minded community that she cherishes.
Shawna
Shawna first fell in love with yoga more than 2 decades ago. As a former dancer and athlete, turned global marketing executive, yoga's mind-body connection offered Shawn a blueprint to approaching life off the mat and navigating from a place of calm in our fast-paced world. Over the last 20 years, she has explored multiple yoga styles and studied and practiced with teachers around the country obtaining certifications in yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Her truest passion is supporting others on their journey toward personal and entrepreneurial growth and success. Away from yoga, you will find Shawna leading corporate wellness programs, traveling, reading, biking, hikings, enjoying culinary experiences with friends, and renovating her parents 100 year old home as a gathering place for her large family.
Jennie
Jennie started her yoga and meditation journey in the early 90’s. She has attended multiple retreats and workshops throughout America and is currently studying through Tara Mandala for a specialized certification in a healing practice based on Tibetan buddhist/shamanic teachings. Jennie is a sacred feminine practitioner and guide and has attended three years of specialized feminine wisdom school and also has a background in tai chi/qigong. She incorporates all of these elements into her yoga, connecting body with mind and soul. Throughout her life nature and yoga have been the root medicines she relies on for healing and health. She gives gratitude for all of her teachers and the ability to have had the resources to connect to so many ancient traditions and wisdoms and looks forward to providing yoga classes and workshops at Monroe Yoga.
Jodi
Jodi is a true inspiration to us all. She's all about family, wellness, and adventure. With 4 amazing grown boys and 8 grandkids, she's the ultimate family matriarch.
Jodi's secret to staying youthful and vibrant? Yoga and meditation! She embarked on her yoga journey in the mid-90s, not just for the incredible physical benefits but also to naturally lower her blood pressure.
